About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Math Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will deliver personalized math instruction through small-group sessions and individualized support, ensuring each student fully comprehends the material. This role works collaboratively with a small team of educators to tailor instruction that meets the unique academic needs of our student-athletes.
What you'll do
- Deliver math instruction to K–12 students enrolled in an online curriculum through small-group and individualized instruction
- Provide targeted tutoring, reteaching, and academic support to ensure students fully understand mathematical concepts
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student learning needs
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing ongoing feedback and adjusting instruction as needed
- Do everything possible to help students succeed in math, including coaching, reteaching, and reinforcing foundational skills until mastery is achieved
- Collaborate closely with other teachers and staff to support an integrated academic-athletic environment
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and academic performance
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding progress, goals, and any academic concerns
- Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in math instruction and educational technology
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Valid teaching certification/license in Mathematics or the ability to obtain certification
- Experience teaching math to K–12 students, with a strength in individualized or small-group instruction
- Candidates who have taught Advanced Placement (AP) courses and demonstrate a strong track record of a high percentage of students scoring 3 or higher on AP exams will be strongly considered.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom/group management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic academic environment
- Passion for working with student-athletes and an understanding of their unique academic and athletic demands
- Ability to work on-site, in person, with consistency and reliability
