About this role

Bild AI is an early-stage startup tackling blueprint understanding and cost estimation in construction with a model-garden approach. This role focuses on the intelligence layer—advancing computer vision and AI systems to shipped prototypes that users can rely on. You’ll join a small, impact-driven team building cutting-edge CV/ML solutions to enable faster, smarter construction workflows.

What youll do

  • Focus on the intelligence layer rather than the application layer.
  • Apply the newest computer vision, LLM models, and AI systems.
  • Ship initial prototypes quickly and improve them based on user feedback.

What Bild AI is looking for

  • Applied CV/ML experience with Python, machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision.
  • 0-to-1 builder with AI in production experience.
  • Growth mindset (slope > y-intercept) and a willingness to tackle challenging problems.
  • Strong communication with empathy and honesty about what’s working or not.
  • Comfortable with “schlep” work as part of building early-stage products.
  • Bonus: experience building something people used or paid for (founder/startup) and/or a construction background.
  • Logistics: SF-based or willing to relocate; full-time in-office.
  • Industry/tech focus: deep involvement with computer vision object detection and coordinating ML models; emphasis on intelligence-side R&D over application-layer work.
