Founding Software Engineer
About this role
Avallon AI is seeking a Founding Software Engineer to build voice AI systems and document agent workflows that handle millions of claims. You’ll work in forward-deployed engineering, partnering directly with customers to map workflows and ship production-grade code in TypeScript and Python. This is a founding role shaping our platform as we scale.
What youll do
- Build voice AI systems and document agent workflows that process millions of claims.
- Work directly with customers to understand their workflows and build friction-free solutions.
- Ship production TypeScript/Python code that processes real claims.
- Design APIs, data models, and integrations with claims management systems.
What Avallon AI is looking for
- Experience designing and implementing APIs, data models, and integrations with external systems (e.g., claims management systems).
- 3+ years of professional software development experience with TypeScript and Python in production systems.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and PostgreSQL in production environments.
- Authorization to work in the United States (US citizen or valid work visa).
- Ability to work remotely from within the United States and operate in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with customers in a forward-deployed engineering role.
