About the role... As Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an outstanding five-star dining experience for our guests while inspiring and developing a high-performing kitchen team. You will lead by example, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, service, and operational excellence.
What you will be doing...
Lead the kitchen team in delivering exceptional food quality and consistency across all services.
Develop innovative menu ideas and work closely with the Executive Chef on seasonal menu planning and product development.
Ensure all chefs are trained, supported, and consistently working to the highest culinary standards.
Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and development of kitchen team members in partnership with senior management.
Organise and delegate daily responsibilities across the kitchen brigade to ensure efficient service delivery.
Oversee the smooth running of all kitchen sections and maintain exceptional operational standards.
Monitor food costs, labour costs, and stock management to maximise profitability and support business objectives.
Provide informed recommendations and suggestions to the Executive Chef to drive sales and enhance the guest experience.
Foster a positive, collaborative culture, recognising and celebrating success within the team.
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety, and company policies.
Maintain a clean, organised, and professional kitchen environment at all times.
Demonstrate flexibility in working patterns, including evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods.

Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a high-volume, premium dining environment.
Strong culinary expertise with a genuine passion for food, ingredients, and innovation.
Experience creating and delivering seasonal menus.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
Strong understanding of kitchen financials, including food cost control and labour management.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and health & safety regulations.
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends.
