The Tennis Shop Attendant assists in the day-to-day operations of the tennis pro shop, ensuring that members and guests receive outstanding customer service. This role includes merchandise sales, court reservations, and assisting with tennis events.
Greet and assist members with tennis-related purchases and inquiries.
Process sales transactions for apparel, accessories, and equipment.
Assist members with racket stringing and customization services (if applicable).
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked tennis shop.
Manage court booking system and ensure accurate scheduling.
Communicate with members regarding availability, tournaments, and special events.
Assist with setting up and organizing club tournaments, social events, and clinics.
Track and manage inventory levels for tennis merchandise.
Assist in placing orders for tennis balls, grips, apparel, and accessories.
Maintain accurate sales and transaction records.
QualificationsQualifications, Education, & Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility successfully. This person must present a neat appearance and have a warm, cheerful personality. Tact and good judgment are especially beneficial characteristics. This person must also possess the knowledge, skill, and ability to carry out the job responsibilities.
Prior experience in retail, customer service, or a tennis-related role preferred.
Basic understanding of tennis equipment and apparel.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and club events as needed.
Standing for extended periods.
Occasional lifting of tennis equipment and merchandise (up to 30 lbs).
Frequent walking between tennis shops and courts.
