The Role:
We are looking for a Legal Engineer to join our growing team, supporting both internal initiatives and client delivery. This role sits at the intersection of law, technology, and consulting, focused on transforming how legal work is delivered through automation, AI, and scalable solutions.
You will work closely with legal, technical, and business stakeholders to design, build, and implement innovative legal technology solutions, while contributing to both client engagements and internal product development.

Responsibilities
Client Delivery & Consulting
- Support and deliver legal tech and AI-driven transformation projects for clients
- Work directly with clients to understand requirements and translate them into scalable legal solutions
- Assist in the implementation of tools such as CLM systems, document automation platforms, and AI solutions
- Contribute to process design and optimisation across contract lifecycle, compliance, and legal workflows
- Help deliver high-quality outputs across multiple engagements, ensuring strong client experience and value delivery
Legal Engineering & Technology
- Design and build automated workflows for contract management, approvals, and document generation
- Structure legal documents into templates, clauses, and data points for reuse and automation
- Support integration and use of AI tools (e.g. LLMs, document analysis tools, RAG systems)
- Work with technical teams to configure, test, and deploy solutions
- Assist in maintaining and improving internal tools, playbooks, and delivery frameworks
Internal Enablement
- Contribute to the development of internal best practices, templates, and methodologies
- Support internal teams in adopting legal tech and AI solutions
- Work cross-functionally with legal, product, engineering, and commercial teams
- Provide input into innovation initiatives and go-to-market offerings
Essential Criteria

- 5+ years’ experience in a legal engineering, legal tech, consulting, or legal innovation role
- Background in law (qualified or non-qualified) or technical/engineering discipline with legal exposureExperience working with contracts, legal processes, or compliance workflow
- Familiarity with legal tech tools (e.g. CLM, document automation, contract analytics platforms)
- Exposure to AI/ML tools or LLM-based applicationsUnderstanding of process design, workflow automation, and system implementationBasic technical capability (e.g. APIs, low-code tools, data handling, or scripting) is beneficial
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Ability to translate between legal, technical, and business stakeholdersExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environmenHighly collaborative with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with tools such as Ironclad, DocuSign, ContractPod, Kira, Luminance, or similar
- Exposure to frameworks such as LangChain, Azure OpenAI, or similar AI stacks
- Experience working in a professional services or consulting environment
