What you will work on
Your mission
We are seeking an exceptional Product Lead to join our fast-growing team. Think of yourself as a “mini-CEO” for our product. You’ll be the driving force behind our product vision, strategy, and execution, working directly alongside our CEO. This isn’t a role for the faint of heart; it requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, deep technical expertise, and an unwavering commitment to understanding our customers.
You’ll be diving headfirst into the world of building and construction material manufacturers. You need to have strong product taste and a genuine eagerness to understand the complexities of this industry. Daily customer conversations will be a core part of your job.
We’re looking for someone who is AI-native. You need to understand how AI can transform our product and our organisation, and you must bring a strong sense of urgency to rolling it out effectively.
Own the Product: Act as the "mini-CEO" of the product, taking ultimate accountability for its success (living our "Ownership" value).
Deep Dive into the Industry: Become an expert in the building and construction materials sector. Translate complex industry needs into elegant, impactful product solutions.
Customer Obsession: Conduct daily conversations with customers, ensuring their needs (and the environment's) are at the forefront of every product decision (living our "Environment > Customer > Team > Individual" value).
Technical Understanding: Engage with our senior engineers on an equal footing. You should possess a deep technical understanding and, ideally, be capable of shipping simple features yourself.
AI Integration: Champion and accelerate the integration of AI across our product organisation.
Lead and Inspire: Lead a team of experienced domain experts in product and design, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and high performance.
What you should bring to this role
Minimum Requirements
Product Leadership: 3-5 years of proven product leadership experience, ideally within a fast-paced software startup or scale-up environment.
People Leadership: Experience directly building and leading a broad team of product & technical individuals, driving a strategy to timelines and success.
Industry Depth: Experience within the manufacturing / building domains, or demonstrated history of entering highly specialised, or traditional industries (e.g., manufacturing, supply chain, fintech, healthcare) and rapidly building deep domain expertise to launch successful products.
Strong Taste and Clarity: You bring order to the mess, you thrive in unstructured environments, you see a priority path where others get lost in the details
Technical Chops: Deep technical understanding. Experience working closely with an Engineering team - having shipped yourself is a plus.
LFG Mentality: A proven history of operating with high autonomy to unblock product velocity and drive execution. Demonstrated experience overcoming cross-functional, technical, or resource roadblocks to launch a product on time.
Technical: Computer Science/Engineering educational background or a proven history of shipping code or building functional prototypes yourself.
Language: German Fluency (C1/C2).
Relevant Industry: Experience working in the Sustainability / Climate Tech space in a customer or product focused role.

Office: Office based.
Visa / Relocation: Preference will be given to candidates already based in Munich and that do not require visa sponsorship. However, we are open to candidates who may need relocation or a visa.

This helps material manufacturers to fulfil customer demands, differentiate their product and be ready for upcoming regulation (e.g. EU CPR). With Emidat, material manufacturers: - Reduce cost and time for generating EPDs / LCAs by over 70% - One license - unlimited product profiles through our third party verified platform - Save time on data collection and text writing based on AI The Emidat database consists of environmental data on over 150k construction products and can be accessed via API and UI.
