Responsibilities

The Power Projects Coordinator provides administrative support to the Power Projects Department by coordinating bid requests and preparing quotes and submittals. Key tasks include routing emails, entering job data into management systems, and creating O&M instructions.

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and customers are required.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Power Projects Coordinator for our San Jose branch. This role is 100% onsite. The Power Projects Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Power Projects Department team, coordinating bid requests, and assisting in the preparation of quotes and submittals.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of those that are required for this position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor emails and route bid requests to appropriate team member.
  • Enter job information into Job Management and SE Advantage.
  • Download necessary documents and create submittal packages.
  • Create Operations and Maintenance Instructions (“O&Ms”).
  • Complete other tasks as necessary to support the workflow of the projects team.

Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent

Interpersonal Skills – Maintains confidentiality; keeps emotions under control.

Oral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetings.

Written Communication – Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.

Teamwork – Contributes to building a positive team spirit.

Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time, ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.

Dependability – Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments; commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; complete tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan

Initiative – Volunteers readily; undertakes self-development activities; seeks increased responsibilities. 

Innovation – Displays original thinking and creativity; generates suggestions for improving work.

Skills:

Computer Skills: Working experience with general proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents and writes routine correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers/vendors or other employees.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.

If there is an offer, the salary presented will consider several factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, training, and internal equity. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Edges Electrical Group.
