The Fuel Desk Cashier / Porter plays an essential role in delivering exceptional guest service while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming travel plaza. This position combines cashier responsibilities with porter duties to ensure both our guests and team members enjoy a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment. Ideal candidates are friendly, dependable, self-motivated, and take pride in keeping the store looking its best.
Greet guests with a smile, provide friendly service, and offer prompt assistance.
Practice suggestive selling to enhance the guest experience.
Adhere to all city, county, state, and federal alcohol and tobacco regulations.
Efficiently operate the cash register while accurately processing cash, credit card, and other transactions.
Operate the lottery/lotto terminal.
Follow all company cash handling and operating procedures.
Stock merchandise, coolers, and displays throughout the store.
Change fountain drink syrup boxes as needed.
Maintain knowledge of store products, promotions, and pricing.
Clean and sanitize guest restrooms throughout the day.
Clean and maintain guest shower facilities, ensuring they are sanitized, stocked, and guest-ready.
Sweep, mop, dust, vacuum, and perform general housekeeping throughout the store.
Clean windows, entrance doors, cooler doors, counters, shelving, and other high-touch surfaces.
Empty trash and recycling containers inside the store and throughout the parking lot.
Monitor and replenish restroom, shower, and cleaning supplies.
Help maintain a clean and organized sales floor, fuel desk, and common areas.
Assist with seasonal cleaning projects and deep cleaning assignments.
Promptly report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or equipment issues to management.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment.
Work effectively with the public and as part of a team.
Take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
Perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, standing, walking, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning for extended periods.
Safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products according to company procedures.
Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Maintain cooperative working relationships with team members.
Demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population.
Maintain reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
