The Structural Fitter is responsible for laying out, fitting, and assembling structural steel components based on blueprints and specifications. They ensure dimensional accuracy and prepare materials for welding while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Candidates must be able to accurately measure and align materials and operate fabrication equipment safely. Proficiency in reading shop drawings and compliance with OSHA and QA/QC requirements are essential.

The Structural Fitter is responsible for laying out, fitting, and assembling structural steel components according to blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications in a fabrication shop environment. This position accurately measures, aligns, tacks, and prepares materials for welding while ensuring dimensional accuracy and compliance with quality standards. The Structural Fitter safely operates fabrication equipment and hand tools, verifies fit-up before welding, and works closely with welders, supervisors, and quality personnel to support efficient production. All work is performed in accordance with OSHA, QA/QC, safety, and quality requirements.
