Ivan Bakrac

Ivan Bakrac serves as the Head of Treasury and Strategist at ConsenSys, where he oversees the treasury portfolio and supports the development and launch of new products. He works closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, leveraging his expertise at the intersection of finance, blockchain, artificial intelligence and data analytics. Ivan also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Practice in Emerging Technologies, specializing in AI, Machine Learning, and Blockchain, at several prestigious institutions. With a career spanning two decades, Ivan has held diverse positions, including senior finance roles in a high-growth blockchain technology startup, head of portfolio management, fixed income portfolio manager, quantitative fixed income researcher, risk manager, digital assets strategist, and data analytics expert. His current focus is on emerging technologies, including digital assets, blockchain, financial machine learning, AI, and predictive analytics. Ivan is proficient in financial data science and machine learning, with a strong emphasis on integrating these disciplines into asset management and financial analytics. His previous roles include Head of Multi-Sector Fixed Income Portfolio Management at Invesco, Lead Fixed Income Portfolio Manager, and Co-Head of Quantitative Strategies at Franklin Templeton Investments. Ivan holds a Master of Science in Financial Analytics & Data Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Financial Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering. In addition to his industry roles, he contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor at several prestigious institutions. At Berkeley College Business School, he teaches courses on Global FinTech, AI, and Business Data Science. He also holds the positions of Adjunct Professor of Practice for Emerging Technologies at Wake Forest University, Adjunct Faculty for Financial Technology & Analytics at Stevens Institute of Technology, Affiliated Faculty at CRAFT - Center for Research toward Advancing Financial Technologies, and Part-time Adjunct Lecturer for Enterprise Risk Management at Columbia University School of Professional Studies.
