Founding Software Engineer

Temper (ex Unnbound) is building an agentic integrations platform, and this founding software engineer role will shape its architecture, culture, and product direction. You’ll own high-impact projects end-to-end, work across frontend, backend, infra, and AI/LLM workflows, and help define not just the product but the company itself.

What youll do

• Build the integrations platform — mapping, testing, retries, queues, observability, and the full infrastructure layer.
• Work across the entire stack — frontend, backend, infra, and LLM workflows.
• Own projects end-to-end, from specs to code to customer impact.
• Help define not just the product — but the company itself.

What Temper (ex Unnbound) is looking for

• 3+ years of software engineering experience in fast-paced environments (startups preferred).
• Experience building 0→1 in early-stage startups or serious side projects.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React for frontend, and Node.js for backend.
• Experience integrating or building workflows around large language models (LLMs) and agent-based platforms.
• Experience with AWS and PostgreSQL.
• Experience owning end-to-end feature development across frontend, backend, and infra, delivering measurable customer impact.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, tracing, and reliable retry/queuing patterns in distributed systems.
• Strong CS fundamentals.
