About this role

Probook is seeking a Founding Technical Recruiter to join the founding team in New York City. You will partner with the founders and cross-disciplinary teams to define role requirements, build hiring plans, and attract top software engineers in a fast-moving startup environment. This role is critical to shaping our engineering foundation and enabling rapid, high-quality growth toward Series A.

What youll do

  • Partner with founders and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into clear role requirements and hiring plans.
  • Build and manage a high-velocity recruiting pipeline for software engineering roles in a fast-paced startup/Series A environment.
  • Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidates, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Define interview standards with hiring managers and coordinate the interview process from initial contact to offers.
  • Build relationships with external networks and potential candidates to maintain a strong pipeline.
  • Contribute to developing scalable recruiting processes and employer branding as the company grows.

What Probook is looking for

  • Based in New York City or willing to relocate to NYC.
  • Experience recruiting for software engineering roles in a fast-paced startup/Series A environment.
  • Ability to partner closely with founders and cross-functional teams to define role requirements and hiring plans.
  • Willingness to commit to a high-velocity startup recruiting pace and long hours (60-100 hours per week) as part of the company culture.
  • Strong CS fundamentals and evidence of recruiting in early-stage tech environments.
