Forward Deployed Engineer
About this role
We are looking for a Founding Customer Engineer to be the first non-founder hire, owning every customer relationship and building the playbook for how Hobbes scales from 20 customers to 2,000. We are seeking a technical, customer-facing individual who understands product positioning and instinctively automates repetitive tasks.
What will you be doing?
Teach AI agents how to sell by coaching them on product tiers, buyer personas, and pricing conversations.
Serve as the voice of the customer, identifying common requests and patterns in conversation logs to inform product development.
Own customer relationships end-to-end, from onboarding to ensuring their success and improving their demo performance.
Automate manual and repetitive tasks by building workflows and systems to help the customer engineering function scale.
Work directly with the CTO to translate customer feedback into shipped product features.
