About this role
Hightouch is seeking a product-minded software engineer to探索 0→1 AI opportunities in the marketing domain. You’ll build early experiments and infrastructure around LLMs and lightweight ML to derive insights and generate content from customer data, blending backend work with data analysis and applied AI. You’ll join a small team and help lay the groundwork for future product lines that could become major offerings.
What youll do
- Take ownership of exploring new 0-1 opportunities in AI for marketing and help shape the future of AI-powered marketing.
- Build early experiments and infrastructure around using LLMs and lightweight ML to generate insights and content from customer data.
- Collaborate with a small team and directly with the CTO and COO to prototype and ship ideas quickly, laying groundwork for major product lines.
- Explore different AI methodologies and determine where various LLMs can be effectively used within the product.
- Contribute to developing an AI agent that functions as an automated data scientist/marketer, finding unique insights, turning them into marketing opportunities, generating content, and identifying high-propensity users or churn risk.
What Hightouch is looking for
- 4+ years of AI/ML engineering experience, ideally at high-velocity, VC-backed startups.
- Experience building complex AI applications beyond simple RAG or chatbots.
- Proficiency in Python and strong backend engineering capabilities.
- Strong CS/Math foundations with a solid academic background.
- Experience with LLMs, ML, or data-driven product features.
- Experience as an early engineer or founder, building products from inception to iteration.
- Industry experience applying ML to marketing or data-driven product contexts.
