GTM Lead (Department of War)
About this role
GovSignals is hiring a GTM Lead (Department of War) to drive net-new government SaaS sales into defense and other government accounts. This pure hunting role focuses on creating pipeline, opening new doors, and closing high-value pilots and contracts by building relationships across government, identifying real problems, and converting interest into funded work.
What youll do
- Drive net-new pipeline through proactive outreach, research, and targeted engagement.
- Break into new government accounts and develop strong stakeholder relationships.
- Scope, structure, and close pilots that lead to full production deployments.
- Secure access to contract vehicles or work effectively through partner or customer pathways.
- Navigate government procurement, budgeting, and contracting processes to accelerate deals.
- Manage opportunities end-to-end, from qualification through close.
- Prepare proposals and supporting materials to advance opportunities.
- Attend industry events to uncover and validate new opportunities.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to align customer needs with platform capabilities.
What GovSignals is looking for
- 4+ years of experience in defense acquisition or government sales.
- Proven hunter with a track record of creating pipeline and closing complex government deals.
- Strong understanding of government procurement, funding cycles, and acquisition processes.
- Demonstrated success structuring pilots and working through contract vehicles.
- Experience securing or operating through contract vehicles and partner pathways.
- Excellent communication skills and an authentic relationship-building style.
- Detail oriented with strong follow-through and the ability to manage multiple opportunities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high autonomy.
