As a Data & AI Platform Product Manager - Vice President within the APAC Chief Analytics and Data Office, you will own the APAC technical product agenda for the firm’s Data & AI platform capabilities. You will translate APAC business, regulatory, and user needs into clear product requirements, prioritized backlog/roadmap inputs, and measurable adoption outcomes. You will partner closely with APAC and global stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Product Enablement, Business Adoption, Risk, Controls, Data/AI Governance, and Lines of Business to ensure platform capabilities are fit-for-purpose, production-ready, and scalable across APAC markets.
Job responsibilities
- Lead APAC technical product discovery with business sponsors, end users, client technology teams, Customer Success, and Business Adoption to identify high-impact Data & AI platform opportunities
- Develop a strong understanding of APAC workflows, user pain points, data flows, technical constraints, regulatory expectations, and adoption barriers across markets and Lines of Business
- Triage incoming demand to determine the right path (self-serve, product expertise, solution design, new feature development, or APAC-specific capability) and define clear problem statements and success criteria
- Define APAC-specific platform requirements across functional, data, integration, access/entitlements, controls, and user experience needs, including user journeys and acceptance criteria
- Translate data governance, AI governance, risk and control expectations into platform capability requirements (e.g., approvals, guardrails, lineage, auditability, evidence capture)
- Define non-functional requirements where needed (scalability, resilience, performance, security, access control, operational readiness)
- Own and maintain the APAC technical product backlog; ensure requirements are engineering-ready for feasibility assessment, sequencing, dependencies, and delivery planning
- Partner with APAC CAO/CPO and intake forums to prioritize work based on business value, regulatory relevance, risk/control requirements, user impact, and technical feasibility
- Provide structured APAC inputs into global/regional platform roadmaps, balancing regional needs with global strategy to avoid unnecessary fragmentation
- Define measurable outcomes and track success (adoption, usage, value realization, control adherence, production readiness, customer satisfaction), converting learnings into backlog improvements
- Communicate priorities, trade-offs, and roadmap implications to senior stakeholders; produce executive-ready product briefs and decision materials
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in technical/platform product management, data/AI platforms, enterprise technology products, or related roles
- Strong understanding of data and AI platform capabilities (data management, analytics enablement, AI/ML enablement, governance, lineage, data quality, access controls/entitlements, adoption)
- Demonstrated ability to translate business problems, regulatory requirements, and technical constraints into product requirements, user journeys, acceptance criteria, and roadmap priorities
- Strong technical fluency (data flows, APIs, platform architecture, cloud-based platforms, integration patterns, technical documentation, non-functional requirements)
- Experience partnering with engineering teams to shape platform capabilities while maintaining clear product ownership of the “what/why/for whom”
- Strong product judgment with ability to make trade-offs across value, urgency, feasibility, risk, and platform strategy
- Experience operating in financial services or another regulated environment
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across senior business, product, engineering, risk, and governance partners
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including creating product briefs, prioritization recommendations, and executive decision materials
- Ability to manage ambiguity, structure complex problems, and drive alignment across regional and global stakeholders
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with enterprise data platforms, AI/ML platforms, cloud analytics platforms, data marketplaces, internal developer platforms, or internal user platforms
- Experience in a CDAO/data office, analytics/AI function, platform product organization, or enterprise transformation program
- Track record supporting platform adoption across multiple countries, Lines of Business, or regulated jurisdictions
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, lineage/metadata, access management, and AI/model governance expectations
- Experience defining product requirements for APIs, data products, workflow tools, self-service platforms, analytics capabilities, or AI/ML enablement platforms
- MBA, Master’s degree, or advanced technical/product qualification
