[What the role is]
You will be a part of HPB's Youth Preventive Service (YPS) Group, whose mission is to promote good health through early detection and early intervention, to reduce ill health among school-going children and youth. The services provided by the Group include health and dental screening, immunisation, and lifestyle intervention programmes.
The School Engagement Hub (SEH) serves as the central unit responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion initiatives across the educational continuum, from preschool through junior college. The work extends beyond stakeholder engagement and encompasses strategy implementation, operational management, resources development, pilot testing, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
Through effective programme planning and project management of the nation-wide initiative, you will be at the forefront of driving and shaping strategies that promote lifelong health and wellness for our younger generation. This includes strategic planning and monitoring of preventive health initiatives, while coordinating with cross-functional teams and upholding robust project management frameworks to advance national health priorities for children and youth.
Given the distinct developmental needs, operating environments, and stakeholder ecosystems across preschool, primary, and secondary/JC settings, dedicated manpower is required to ensure programmes remain relevant, evidence-based, scalable, and responsive to sector needs
[What you will be working on]
As a key member of the team, you will (i) develop and maintain strategic relationships with inter-divisional stakeholders while coordinating cross-functional collaboration and resources development to facilitate alignment of implementation priorities, (ii) manage comprehensive project management frameworks and support reporting to management and key stakeholders, and (iii) drive the implementation and monitoring of child & youth national preventive health initiatives.
Specific activities include:
- Conduct needs and gap analysis across projects including but not limited to Grow Well SG (GWSG) to identify areas where implementation can be improved.
- Develop and improve processes, resources, tools, and templates to ensure efficient and delivery
- Develop, track and coordinate deliverables to ensure programme milestones are met on time.
- Support the strategies implementation across functional workstreams, including aligning teams, identifying gaps and dependencies, and documenting service blueprints and journey maps
- Monitor emerging trends and research in children and youth health, to inform programme improvement, sustainability, and future scaling.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in managing programmes or projects, preferably in the public sector or healthcare.
You should also possess:
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, track, and coordinate multiple workstreams and deliverables concurrently.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps, dependencies, and improvement areas across projects and processes.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, build trust, and influence decisions across teams and levels.
- Ability to develop education or curriculum related resources
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present issues clearly and translate complex information into practical recommendations.
- Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver results within tight timelines.
- Resourcefulness, resilience, and sound judgement in navigating ambiguity and operational challenges.
- Candidates with an academic background or training in project management, public health, business administration, or other related fields are advantageous.
Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
