Full job description

At ETEL, we’re committed to delivering reliable, high-quality solutions to our customers — and strong logistics performance is critical to that promise across our global operations.

In this role, you’ll lead the Group’s logistics strategy, ensuring inbound materials, internal flow, and outbound distribution operate safely, efficiently, and consistently across all regions. You’ll connect strategy with execution — driving performance, building capability, and delivering seamless outcomes from planning through to customer delivery.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager – Operational Excellence, you’ll be accountable for end-to-end logistics performance across the ETEL Group.

You’ll lead the development and execution of the group logistics strategy, set standards and governance frameworks, and align logistics capability with business strategy and S&OP planning. This is a high-impact, global role working across manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams to deliver disciplined execution and strong customer outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and execute the group logistics strategy across manufacturing and distribution
  • Establish and maintain logistics standards, policies, and operating frameworks
  • Align logistics capability with S&OP, production, and business priorities
  • Drive performance against key KPIs (e.g. DIFOT, cost-to-serve, damage, inventory movement)
  • Oversee inbound, outbound, warehousing, and materials handling across all sites
  • Manage logistics providers and third-party partnerships
  • Deliver continuous improvement initiatives to optimise cost, flow, and performance
  • Build and lead a high-performing, multi-site logistics function

What you’ll bring

  • Significant logistics/supply chain leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience leading across multiple teams, sites, or regions
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end logistics operations
  • Proven ability to drive performance, cost discipline, and operational efficiency
  • Strong knowledge of safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in multi-site or global environments
  • Exposure to S&OP-driven logistics execution
  • Third-party logistics management experience
  • Lean/CI or structured problem-solving capability
  • ERP systems and data-led decision making

What sets you apart

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to design scalable logistics models
  • Strong execution focus with a balance of strategy and delivery
  • Ability to influence and align across teams and regions
  • Commercially minded with a clear understanding of cost-to-serve
  • Proven change leadership and continuous improvement capability
  • Global outlook and ability to operate across regions

Why ETEL

At ETEL, you’ll join a business that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to shape logistics across a global organisation and make a measurable impact on performance, cost, and customer outcomes.

We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where people feel respected, supported, and able to do their best work.

Applicants must be eligible to work in New Zealand and currently reside here.
