About this role
Duckbill is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our small, passionate team and help build Skyway, our financial planning SaaS product. You will explore complex cloud billing data, translate insights into scalable data pipelines, and collaborate with product and engineering to ensure data integrity. This role directly supports enterprise customers and plays a key part in delivering reliable financial insights in a fast-paced startup environment.
What youll do
- Explore complex cloud billing data to find critical insights for our enterprise customers.
- Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines using Python and Airflow.
- Collaborate with the engineering and product teams to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Own data modeling and processing to support our financial planning and analysis SaaS product.
- Work in a fast-paced startup environment where you can take ownership and see your contributions make an immediate impact.
What Duckbill is looking for
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python and Airflow for building data pipelines.
- Deep understanding of SQL and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud billing data and FinOps concepts.
- Experience at a fast-growing startup.
- Experience in a finance-adjacent industry.
