Wurzel Builders is currently hiring for three Project Superintendent positions in commercial construction. All three roles have the same requirements. The Project Superintendent must schedule construction activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to the highest quality standards, as outlined in plans and specifications. They will manage construction activities to ensure work is performed safely and within OSHA guidelines. They will also manage relationships with the Owner to ensure communication is clear. Responsibilities include assisting the Project Manager with developing schedules, assisting in the budget process, knowing the project scope, managing daily operations, monitoring job site conditions, monitoring work to ensure safety and quality, ensuring inspections are performed, communicating problems, holding weekly safety meetings, conducting weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors, utilizing project management software, managing timesheets, submitting verification logs, setting up jobsites, reviewing and approving subcontractor work orders, being on-site at all times, developing weekly short interval schedules, meeting weekly with Project Managers, and working with Project Managers to create streamlined systems. Candidates must have 3+ years of experience as a superintendent on commercial construction projects. A 30-hour OSHA certification and CPR Certification are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software is also necessary. Knowledge in all construction trades is expected, along with advanced written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated problem-solving capabilities, ethical behavior and integrity, multitasking abilities, and a team-oriented approach. A Bachelor of Science in Construction or a related degree, Certified Professional Constructor, and/or a Certified Construction Manager is preferred.
