Timm Swimm Inc is a professional training and coaching company in the professional training and coaching industry, with a company size of 11-50 employees. Timm Swimm Inc. is currently hiring for three open positions. All positions are on-site. **Swim Instructor:** The Swim Instructor provides skill-based swim and water safety instruction to beginners of all ages. This role requires maintaining constant supervision of students at all times to ensure safety, creating positive, nurturing relationships, and building cooperative relationships. The instructor also promotes and supports the potential of all students in the program. The Swim Instructor will lead beginner group swim lessons, enforce pool policies, rules, and regulations, identify students who need assistance, and support students as necessary. They must adhere to policies and procedures and maintain positive relationships with parents, caregivers, and other staff. This is a part-time position with varying hours. Targeting Sunday hours. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ group childcare, teaching, or coaching experience. They must be willing to obtain CPR, AED, First Aid, and Lifeguarding certifications within the first six months of employment and hold a High School Diploma. They must have a clean CORI and SORI background check, the ability to recognize and remedy hazardous situations, swim in shallow and deep water, and tread water. They must also work independently, possess energy and enthusiasm, recognize students who need assistance, and demonstrate skills as required for class content and use teaching aids. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and experience on a competitive swim team, as a swim team coach, or as a swim instructor. The salary for this position is $20 - $26 USD. The Swim Instructor roles involve utilizing the following skills and tools: Swim Instruction, Water Safety, Childcare, Coaching, CPR, First Aid, Lifeguarding, Team Collaboration, Positive Relationships, Supervision, Emergency Response, Communication, Teaching Aids, Hazard Recognition, Independent Work, Swimming Technique, Energy, and Enthusiasm. The on-site work environment for the Swim Instructor is indoors at a facility pool with water and air temperatures of 75 degrees or higher. Exposure to chemicals and fumes may occur. The Swim Instructor walks, runs, sits, stands, bends, lifts, swims, and moves continually during working hours and is subject to lifting over 50 pounds. They must remain alert and able to recognize distress signals. 1. **What are the required qualifications for a Swim Instructor position?** A High School Diploma, clean CORI and SORI background check, ability to recognize and remedy hazardous situations, ability to swim in shallow and deep water and tread water, and the willingness to obtain CPR, AED, First Aid, and Lifeguarding certifications are required.
