Key responsibilities include managing the Executive Director's calendar, maintaining files, preparing invoices, coordinating travel arrangements, and event planning. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree and three years of administrative experience are required. * **Horticulturist (On-site):** The Horticulturist supports the Horticulture Manager in all aspects of care and maintenance of the landscape at Calder Gardens. This includes hands-on maintenance such as weeding, planting, watering, and pruning. They also support public use of the site, work with seasonal staff, and manage volunteers. A high school diploma is required. An Associate or bachelor’s degree in horticulture or a related field is preferred. One year of relevant experience is required. This position's target start date is March 2026. The positions utilize a variety of technology for their functions. The Director of Grantmaking Programs leverages grantmaking, leadership, staff management, communication, critical analysis, interpersonal skills, program development, budget management, artistic literacy, networking, collaboration, capacity building, discretion, problem-solving, and cultural awareness. The Executive Coordinator uses administrative support, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, event planning, and travel arrangements. The Horticulturist uses horticulture, garden maintenance, plant health, weeding, planting, watering, pruning, integrated pest management, volunteer management, communication, teamwork, safety training, data collection, and irrigation systems.
