Sandalwood Management, Inc. was founded in 1985 in Austin, Texas. Initially focused on multifamily residential property management, Sandalwood saw dynamic diversification after the 1988 acquisition by Joel Ospovat. Since then, operations expanded across 14 states & Puerto Rico and commercial real estate was added to the firm’s portfolio. In 2000, Sandalwood entered the Canadian market with the acquisition of 13 shopping malls in the province of Quebec.

Today, Sandalwood is dually headquartered in Austin, Texas, and Montreal, Quebec, and owns and manages more than 75 commercial properties and 49 multifamily communities across North America. The assets under management include 7 million square feet of retail and office space and more than 7,100+ multifamily residential units.
