Safe Passages is currently hiring for three positions: * **Recruiter:** This full-time, on-site position in Oakland, CA, requires the Recruiter to support the sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring processes. The Recruiter will manage the full recruiting lifecycle, maintain communication with candidates and hiring teams, establish relationships with hiring managers, screen and interview applicants, and track and report on recruiting metrics. The salary for this role is between $55,000 - $60,000 USD. * **Early Childhood VISTA (AmeriCorps):** Safe Passages is seeking two Early Childhood VISTA members for on-site positions in Oakland, CA. The Early Childhood VISTAs will support early learning programs by strengthening and growing services for young children (ages 0–5) and their families. The position requires a full-time, 12-month commitment. The first VISTA will work on Baby Learning & Parent Workshops, supporting parent workshops and early learning activities for caregivers and their infants and toddlers. The second VISTA will support Grow & Play, assisting early childhood educators. The schedule is typically Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm, with occasional night and weekend events. Benefits include a living allowance of $1,320 every two weeks (before taxes and deductions), a choice of Education Award or End-of-Service Stipend, healthcare benefits, and childcare benefits. * **Payroll Specialist:** Safe Passages is seeking a full-time, on-site Payroll Specialist in Oakland, CA. This position ensures accurate and timely payroll, maintains records, resolves discrepancies, and supports audits. Key responsibilities include processing payroll, maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with regulations, collaborating with HR, processing employee status changes, entering and verifying timekeeping records, processing deductions, assisting with tax filings, and assisting the Controller and Finance director. The salary for this role is between $65,000 - $75,000 USD.
