Prospect Park Alliance, Inc is currently hiring for the following on-site positions: * **Tree Care Technician:** This is a 10-month seasonal position, running from February to December. The Tree Care Technician will work with the Prospect Park Alliance Arborist to care for trees and conduct general landscape maintenance in Prospect Park, particularly focusing on the maintenance of newly planted trees. Key responsibilities include maintaining trees, planting trees, performing basic tree work, supporting specimen trees, managing database software, leading volunteer groups, removing snow, and assisting with emergency response activities. A valid NYS Driver’s License is required. An Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field or applied certification is preferred. A valid NYS CDL Driver’s License and experience with mapping software or GIS is preferred. * **Turf/Ballfield Technician (LM):** This is a 9-month seasonal full-time position. The Turf/Ballfield Technician is responsible for maintaining and restoring lawns and performing general maintenance throughout the park, including ballfields. This includes maintaining lawns, cutting weeds, installing and removing fencing, removing litter, removing hazards, assisting with special events, and removing snow. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining athletic fields, maintaining clay infields, leveling field surfaces, pumping water, cleaning dugouts, and performing repairs. This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one year of groundskeeping or landscaping experience and operating related machinery is preferred. A valid Driver’s License is required. The hourly wage for this position is $20 per hour. * **Event Support Staff (VS):** This is a per diem, on-site role. Event Support Staff provides general manual labor, guest support, and other ancillary services to assist the Alliance Events staff in producing and running successful events in venues throughout Prospect Park. Responsibilities include performing general maintenance, assisting guests, operating and maintaining A/V equipment, and ensuring adherence to event rules. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of one year of experience working in a customer-facing role or assisting in event coordination is also required.
