MARC INC OF MANCHESTER currently has three open positions for Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP). All positions are on-site and located in Manchester, CT. **DSP - Residential PT:** This position has two available schedules: * Monday 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM and Tuesday + Thursday 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM * Monday 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM and Tuesday 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM These roles involve assisting individuals with developmental disabilities in group homes with their daily activities. This includes helping with home care, finances, nutrition, and medical needs, and supporting personal growth and goal attainment. Candidates must have compassion, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and good judgment. Responsibilities include providing staff and natural supports, ensuring community involvement, and adhering to residential standards. A valid CT Driver's License and vehicle are required. The role also involves transporting persons served in either an agency vehicle or a personal vehicle. **DSP - Employment PT:** This role is for the Group Supported Employment department. The main function is to support individuals in achieving their career goals by securing dignified employment and developing necessary workplace supports. Key duties include fostering natural supports within community businesses, assisting individuals in understanding job requirements, providing necessary support for job performance, and aiding in the development of natural workplace supports. The roles require skills in: * **DSP - Residential**: Compassion, Interpersonal Skills, Communication Skills, Judgment, Support, Community Involvement, Personal Growth, Goal Setting, Confidentiality, Positive Attitude, Training, Transportation, Home Care, Nutrition, Medical Needs, Developmental Disabilities, Finances. * **DSP - Employment**: Direct Support, Job Coaching, Community Engagement, Natural Supports, Employment Support, Report Writing, Positive Supports, Emergency Procedures. All three listed positions are on-site. The DSP - Residential roles involve working in group homes. The DSP - Employment position is based in the Group Supported Employment department. 1. **What are the required qualifications for the DSP - Residential and Employment positions?** A high school diploma or equivalent is required for both positions.
