DC Teaching certification is required. * **SY25-26 Elementary School Lead Teacher (Grades 1-4):** This on-site position reports to the Elementary School Assistant Principal. The Elementary School Lead Teacher facilitates inquiry-based classrooms. The responsibilities include planning and preparing high-quality instruction, classroom environment management, instruction, and professional responsibilities. Applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a content area, with a Master's degree preferred. DC Teaching certification is required. * **Substitute teachers: daily/short-term/long-term:** This on-site position is for self-motivated individuals for daily/short-term, as well as long-term substitute positions for students PreK3 – grade 8. Daily/short-term substitutes are responsible for implementing lesson plans and performing assigned duties. Long-term substitutes are responsible for planning instruction, classroom community, collaborating with support staff, building relationships with families, contributing to the school community, professional development, and integrating research-based strategies. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience teaching with the workshop model, restorative justice, or Responsive Classroom, as well as play-based or arts-focused programs, is preferred.
