The AmeriCorps Student Enrichment & Nutrition Member serves at a FLIPANY-sponsored meal site distributing free afterschool meals to youth in underserved communities. **Q: What is the primary responsibility of the AmeriCorps Student Enrichment & Nutrition Member?** A: The primary responsibility is to serve at a FLIPANY-sponsored meal site distributing free afterschool meals to youth in underserved communities. **Q: What are the qualifications for the AmeriCorps Student Enrichment & Nutrition Member position?** A: Candidates must be at least 17 years of age, be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident, have a valid Florida Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle, be a high school Senior or enrolled in a GED program, and be available to work Monday- Friday between the hours of 1:30 pm-6:00 pm; up to 21 hours per week. They must also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, be a self-starter, have the ability to lift up to 40lbs, be committed to serving others, and be eligible to work with children as verified by the Department of Children and Families after a Level II background check. **Q: What is the work schedule for the AmeriCorps Student Enrichment & Nutrition Member?** A: The schedule is Monday- Friday between the hours of 1:30 pm-6:00 pm, up to 21 hours per week. **Q: What benefits are offered with the AmeriCorps Student Enrichment & Nutrition Member position?** A: The benefits include a living allowance of $3,000.00 paid out biweekly ($375.00) and an Education Award of $1,565.08 earned at the end of the term. **Q: Does FLIPANY provide training for the AmeriCorps Student Enrichment & Nutrition Member?** A: The AmeriCorps Student Enrichment & Nutrition Member will need to complete required food safety handling, and program eligibility trainings, as necessary.
