eleQtron GmbH, operating in the Information Technology & Services industry, is seeking talented individuals to join its team. The company focuses on developing and operating full-stack quantum computers based on trapped-ion technology. eleQtron GmbH currently has three open positions. These roles are for Simulation Engineers, contributing to the development of quantum computing technology. **1. Modeling & Simulation Engineer – Quantum Hardware (f/m/d)** This role involves modeling, simulating, and optimizing ion trap systems. Responsibilities include simulating electrostatic, RF, magnetic, and microwave fields, ion shuttling dynamics, and trapping potentials using COMSOL Multiphysics. Collaboration with interdisciplinary quantum engineers is key to translating physical designs into validated simulation models. **2. Simulation Engineer – Ion Trap Quantum Systems (f/m/d)** This role also involves modeling, simulating, and optimizing ion trap systems. Similar to the previous role, the Simulation Engineer will perform simulations using COMSOL Multiphysics, focusing on electrostatic, RF, magnetic, and microwave fields, as well as ion shuttling dynamics and trapping potentials. The engineer will collaborate closely with other quantum engineers to translate physical designs into validated simulation models, guiding device development and workflow integration that support the company’s scaling strategies toward fault-tolerant quantum computing. **3. Simulation Engineer (f/m/d)** This role also involves modeling, simulating, and optimizing ion trap systems. Responsibilities include simulating electrostatic, RF, magnetic, and microwave fields, as well as ion shuttling dynamics and trapping potentials, using COMSOL Multiphysics. Collaboration with interdisciplinary quantum engineers is key to translating physical designs into validated simulation models. The technology stack for these roles includes expertise in Ion Trapping Physics, Electromagnetism, Classical Mechanics, Electrostatic Fields, RF Fields, Magnetic Fields, and Microwave Fields. The use of COMSOL Multiphysics is required for simulations. Other skills include scripting (Python, MATLAB), numerical and FEM-based simulation, as well as experience in Quantum Information, Atomic Physics, and Microwave Engineering. The remote policy for these positions is on-site. The workplace offers a modern infrastructure with laboratory space, offices, and meeting rooms. **1. What type of work is done at eleQtron GmbH?** eleQtron develops and operates full-stack quantum computers based on trapped-ion technology. **2. What software is used for simulations?** COMSOL Multiphysics is a key tool used for simulations. **3. What are the required skills for the Simulation Engineer roles?** Required skills include an MSc or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a strong understanding of ion trapping physics. Experience in simulating electrostatic, RF, magnetic, and microwave fields is also needed. **4. What benefits does eleQtron offer?** eleQtron offers a competitive salary, flexible working hours, a team-oriented environment, and opportunities for further development and individualized training. A wellness package, moving benefits, and a modern workplace are also provided. **5. Where are the Simulation Engineer positions located?** The positions are on-site.

About the Company

eleQtron develops and operates quantum computers based on trapped ions, RF control and Magnetic Gradient Induced Coupling (MAGIC). Our intermediate-scale quantum processors will be optimized for near-term industrially relevant quantum applications. We will also implement breakthrough concepts for scalable quantum processors based on RF-controlled trapped ions. eleQtron will operate MAGIC quantum computers and offer quantum computer performance within a subscription model.
