AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space within the telecommunications industry. AST SpaceMobile has three open positions. These roles require on-site presence. The available positions are: * **Systems Engineer:** This is a part-time position supporting the development and operation of advanced space systems. Responsibilities include supporting technical budgets, defining requirements, contributing to design reviews, and coordinating technical data. Candidates should be pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field. * **Director, Partner Technical Management:** This senior technical leadership position involves leading a team of partner technical leads supporting global telco partnerships. The role requires experience in satellite-cellular integration and management of complex deployments. Key responsibilities include technical leadership and team management, cross-partner technical standardization, integration and deployment excellence, performance governance and analytics, and strategic technical coordination. * **Laboratory Technician:** This role involves supporting the daily operations of the electronics lab. Responsibilities include managing equipment, assembling workstations, soldering circuits, diagnosing and repairing circuits, fabricating wiring, and supporting engineers and technicians. Candidates should have a minimum of 2–3 years of experience in an electronics laboratory or similar technical environment. AST SpaceMobile uses a variety of technologies. The **Systems Engineer** position utilizes Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MATLAB, Simulink, STK, Jama/DOORS, Confluence, and Jira. The **Director, Partner Technical Management** position involves proficiency with network management systems, performance monitoring, analytics platforms, and experience with collaborative engineering tools and technical documentation systems, in addition to Agile/DevOps practices. The **Laboratory Technician** role uses oscilloscopes, power supplies, bench multimeters, soldering equipment for SMD components, EDA tools such as Altium, KiCad, Eagle (preferred), standard computer applications (Microsoft Office or similar), and inventory management systems/tools. All three positions require an on-site work arrangement. The laboratory environment requires the ability to work in a laboratory setting and handle electronic equipment.
