The General Manager is responsible for maintaining center profitability and efficiency through staff hiring, inventory tracking, and equipment management. Key duties include performing P&L analyses, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality customer care.
Candidates need 1-3 years of retail or service management experience with P&L accountability and a high school diploma. A valid driver's license and the ability to work weekends and holidays are required.

As General Manager you will be responsible for keeping your center profitable and efficient by hiring effective staff, keeping track of inventory and managing equipment. You will be solving problems as they arise. Managing a U-Haul moving and storage center is varied, fast-paced and rewarding work.

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritating chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
