SENIOR MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - FULL TIME - WASHINGTON, TYNE & WEAR

Who We Are:

Inspired by a shared love of fashion, sneakers and the surrounding culture, END. was founded in Newcastle upon Tyne back in 2005. Our first UK store brought together a curated mix of celebrated designers and emerging brands, many of which were previously hard to find outside of London. From day one, we’ve nurtured a community of like-minded individuals united by a love for this ever-evolving culture.

Today, END. serves over 2 million customers worldwide through a seamless blend of online and physical retail. Our industry-leading stores in Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester, London, and Milan reflect our commitment to innovation, influence, and inspiration. We offer a carefully curated selection of menswear, womenswear, sneakers, homeware, and lifestyle products to a global audience.

At the heart of END. is our customer and it’s our people and culture that make the difference. With over 600 employees across our HQ, offices, and retail locations, our customer-first mindset continues to guide everything we do.

The Role:

The Senior Management Accountant will play a key part in managing the month-end close process and maintaining controls across the MI team to deliver accurate information to the business in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be commercially minded and analytical, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be doing:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts across areas of responsibility with accountability for monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Work alongside Finance Business Partners to deliver insightful variance analysis and commentary against budget, forecast, and prior year. Ensure timely, accurate reporting is distributed to relevant budget holders.
  • Support the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts in collaboration with department heads and FP&A team.
  • Support the FP&A team by providing financial insight for commercial decisions. Ensure accuracy of data provided.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting tools, and systems.
  • Support ERP and BI system enhancements and ensure data integrity across platforms.
  • Automate processes and streamline workflows to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure strong internal controls.
  • Work alongside Group Reporting Manager to ensure accounting standards are followed appropriately.
  • Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors as required.
  • Assist with tax and statutory reporting where applicable.
  • Lead and mentor direct reports. Set clear objectives and regularly discuss performance.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Strong communication skills. Able to articulate complex items in an easy to understand, digestible way.
  • Ability to implement new controls / processes where appropriate across a fast-paced business.
  • Commercially focused with strong analytical thinking.
  • Proactive and solutions oriented.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and focus on quality.
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)- 3 years plus PQE.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in management accounting, ideally within retail, fashion, or FMCG.
  • Solid understanding of relevant accounting standards (Group reports under FRS 102) and multi-currency consolidations.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong understanding of multi-channel business models and inventory accounting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Besides a competitive salary and an engaging and inclusive work place we can offer you:

  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • Flexible working, with 2 days WFH
  • 40 Hours per week - Monday to Friday
  • Holiday trading (Buy or sell 3 days)
  • Your birthday off
  • Access to Employee Assistance Programme
  • Healthcare Cashback Plan
  • Moments that matter gifts (Weddings and Babies)
  • A pension that both you and the company contribute to
  • Generous staff discount
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression
  • And so much more….

We know that great talent comes in many forms. So even if you don’t meet every single criteria, we would still love to hear from you. If you’re passionate, driven, and believe you can contribute to our future success, we encourage you to apply.
