Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Lab Supervisor, you will be a pivotal leader, directly contributing to the development of annual departmental goals, objectives, and budget, while actively facilitating their achievement and ensuring ongoing evaluation of results for continuous improvement.Every day you will champion the needs of your patient care team, fostering their professional growth and development to help them reach their full potential, thereby aligning individual success with broader operational goals and objectives.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate unwavering accountability and confidence. • Supervises and coaches laboratory personnel to ensure quality assurance and control as well as adherence to relevant policies and ethics.
• Oversees most laboratory day-to-day operations and exercises authority over personnel decisions.
• Analyzes and interprets laboratory results in accordance with established laboratory work processes.
• Administers laboratory inventories such as supplies, equipment and consumables.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of three (3) years experience in phlebotomy collection of all patient age groups and clinical/medical office procedure
• Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications
• CA Phlebotomy 1 and BLS (AHA)
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• General typing/computer skills
• Individual computer knowledge and computer data entry

Preferred:

• Supervisor experience preferred
• Phlebotomy 2 preffered
