The role is a fractional Product Designer at Clera, remote worldwide, focused on design that goes beyond aesthetics to craft the candidate’s first AI conversation, the hiring manager’s discovery of a perfect hire, and a product that builds trust in recruiting. The role serves as the design voice in the room, working directly with the founders and engineering to ship real product quickly, with no layers or design-by-committee. It involves owning the entire design surface—product UI, candidate-facing experiences, company dashboards, and the AI interaction layer—and turning ambiguous problems into clean, intuitive flows while maintaining craft. It also includes building and evolving Clera’s design system from the ground up and running lightweight user research by talking to candidates and companies, watching sessions, and identifying friction. Finally, it entails shaping product direction alongside the founding team, providing input that goes beyond pixels, offering real ownership and meaningful impact on people’s careers, with flexible fractional arrangements, remote work, competitive compensation, and start as soon as the right person is found.
