The role involves shaping the interface of an AI-driven recruiter, focusing on the agent itself and the surfaces where talent and companies interact. The designer will create new flows for candidates’ AI-driven job matching (onboarding, preference setting, opportunity review) and evolve the company-facing dashboard for startups to manage pipeline, review talent, and track agent activity. They will define interaction patterns where the AI is the primary actor and the UI provides oversight, translating complex data such as match scores and funnel metrics into clear, usable interfaces, with occasional net-new product concepts from zero. This is a flexible, project-based role scoped in chunks with async briefs and feedback via Slack and Figma, working directly with the CTO and founding team; some weeks may require 15+ hours while others are quieter. The position offers real product ownership, with work shipping to tens of thousands of users, in a small, sharp team that avoids design-by-committee and with potential to grow into a larger role as Clera scales.
Clera is a fast-growing AI startup changing how top talent and high growth companies find each other. We've raised a large pre-seed round to tackle recruiting's core problem: the best candidates never apply. We work with leading teams like Luminai, Windsurf, and Mintlify, and we believe recruiting should be talent-first. That means making it easy to get discovered, be coached through the process, and actually land the role you deserve.
