About the Role

Alinea is hiring an iOS Product Engineer based in Latin America to own and scale the core mobile experience alongside the US-based team. This is not a purely iOS role. You will operate across the stack, work directly with the founders to design, build, and ship the product end-to-end, and have a direct hand in building financial products that millions of people use every day.

You will work closely with the founders and lead designer to define and execute the product roadmap, ship clean and performant code across the stack, and help shape the future of investing for a generation that deserves something better than what exists today.

What You'll Own

Own the iOS app end-to-end: architecture, performance, and user experience

Build and ship high-quality features used by hundreds of thousands of users

Work directly with founders, product, and design to turn ideas into shipped product in days, not weeks

Build across the stack using Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and MongoDB

Launch new financial products from zero to one, including retirement accounts

Design systems for onboarding, engagement, and personalization

Continuously improve speed, reliability, and product quality

Set the standard for engineering velocity and craftsmanship

Requirements

Must-Have

Technical

3+ years of full-stack software engineering experience, exceptional profiles with less consideration

Strong foundation in CS fundamentals and collaborative client-server development

Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development

Comfort working across the full stack, including APIs, backend services, and infrastructure

Familiarity with MongoDB and AWS environments, including Elastic Beanstalk, EC2, CloudWatch, and CodeDeploy

Swift and SwiftUI experience for iOS development, with a strong preference

Execution and Ownership

Cares deeply about delivering polished, thoughtful user experiences

Curious, ambitious, and willing to take ownership of problems without waiting for specs

Proven ability to ship quickly and iterate based on real user feedback

A high ownership mindset drives outcomes rather than waiting for direction

Communication

Excellent written and spoken English at C2 level or equivalent, required for daily communication with US-based internal stakeholders

Strong clarity, grammar, and professional writing skills are essential for success in this role

Comfortable working closely with a small, highly driven remote team

Location

Based in Latin America, fully remote

Must be available to overlap with US Eastern and Pacific time zones during core collaboration hours

Startup experience, especially in fast-moving, low-structure environments

Experience building or scaling consumer fintech, marketplace, or social apps

Has built or scaled 0 to 1 products

Has worked with prediction markets, crypto staking, or retirement account products
