We just announced our $3M Pre-Seed. Watch our — launch video.
This is a high-leverage generalist role sitting directly next to the CEO, Charles. The Chief of Staff owns whatever is most important that week, whether that is fundraising, operations, GTM, analytics, partnerships, or product strategy. The scope is intentionally broad, and it changes constantly.
The previous Founder's Associate ran five different projects in a single day, spanning hiring new sales agents, optimizing marketing campaigns, finding a branding agency, building financial models, and bringing on new insurance carriers. That is the pace and the scope.
Charles will ramp you through the first few projects closely. From there, the expectation is that you build toward high agency quickly: own a project, solve it yourself first, then systematize, automate, or hand it off to new hires. If you need to be told exactly what to do, this is not the role for you. If you thrive on a blank canvas and genuine ownership, this is one of the best seats in New York right now.
The culture runs on three pillars: customer obsession, high integrity, and working hard while having a lot of fun. Integrity is not a talking point here. It is the foundation. This person is the closest representation of Charles on the team and needs to be someone he can trust completely to run through walls and get things done, whatever it takes.
We are looking for candidates from top-tier firms and institutions. Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Bain, BCG, and comparable programs are strong signals. New grads with exceptional backgrounds are welcome.
Support fundraising end-to-end: investor research, deck iterations, data room management, and follow-up coordination
Own operational projects from start to finish: vendor evaluation, hiring pipeline buildout, and process design
Analyze data to surface insights and inform decisions across lead conversion, unit economics, and carrier performance
Support GTM strategy: lead generation, partnership outreach, and carrier relationship management
Draft investor updates, internal documentation, and external communications without hand-holding
Build out early-stage projects yourself first, then systematize or automate them and hand off to future hires
Jump into whatever is most on fire that week
Requirements
1 to 3 years of experience at a top-tier firm (Goldman, McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or comparable); exceptional new grads considered
Strong analytical ability: comfortable in spreadsheets, can build a model, finds signal in data without being directed
Excellent written communication: can draft an investor email, an internal brief, or an external partner note without oversight
High agency and bias toward action: figures things out before asking, ships before it is perfect, does not wait to be unblocked
High integrity: this is a right-hand role and trust is the single most important thing Charles is hiring for
Based in NYC or genuinely committed to relocating; in-person 6 days per week including Saturday is non-negotiable
Prior experience at a startup, fintech, or insurtech company
Exposure to insurance, financial services, or AI-native products
Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects or external partnerships
Comfortable with light financial modeling and operational analysis
