Software Engineer (Senior/Staff; San Francisco)

Traba is building the autonomous future of industrial labor. We connect businesses with vetted workers through fully autonomous, orchestrated multi-agent AI workflows. As a senior/staff full-stack product engineer on our founding team in San Francisco, you’ll help shape our core platform and scale the infrastructure that will power flexible light-industrial staffing for years to come.
What youll do
- Lead the development of frontend and backend applications, guiding and mentoring other engineers.
- Architect core systems—from real-time job matching to autonomous worker vetting pipelines powered by ML and AI agents.
- Design, architect, and build scalable web and mobile applications, distributed systems, and APIs.
- Work closely with product and design teams to create a seamless user experience with strong UI/UX.
- Establish and promote best practices for code reusability, performance, and build processes across frontend and backend.
- Implement systems to monitor application health and performance, helping the team address issues proactively.
- Be a key player on a scrappy founding team, contributing to the future of flexible light industrial staffing.
What Traba is looking for
- 5+ years in full-stack product engineering with a track record shipping features/products from 0 to 1 or 1 to 10 in early-stage startups.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and either Node.js or Python; strong fundamentals in both frontend and backend technologies.
- Experience with multi-sided platforms or recruiting/logistics/supply chain/healthcare industries.
- Experience with matching/recommendation systems or marketplace platforms.
- Strong CS fundamentals.
- Commitment to 100% in-person work in San Francisco in a high-intensity startup environment.
