Web Application Developer - Defense (Front-End Eng)

Palantir Technologies is seeking a Web Application Developer to join the Gotham defense product vertical. This frontend-focused role empowers government agencies and defense enterprises to securely visualize data and make data-driven decisions. You’ll build data-intensive, user-friendly interfaces and collaborate with backend engineers to ship features that support mission-critical operations in dynamic environments.

What youll do

• Build for high-scale, collaborative, geospatial workflows (Gaia)
• Design sophisticated frameworks to enable complex workflows across applications in a single workspace
• Develop the next generation of real-time collaborative tooling and data-analysis solutions (Secure Collaboration)

What Palantir Technologies is looking for

• 2+ years of frontend software engineering experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React; strong frontend coding skills and solid web tech understanding
• Has built complex frontend applications beyond basic websites or CRUD apps
• Experience with full-stack development or understanding of backend systems
• Experience or strong interest in defense or government technology
• U.S. Citizenship; eligible to obtain a security clearance (and willingness to obtain)
• Based in or willing to relocate to Washington, D.C.
• Strong CS fundamentals; degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Demonstrated ownership of projects through the full product lifecycle in a fast-paced CI/CD environment
• Founder experience, significant open-source contributions, or strong extracurricular involvement (hackathons, campus clubs, side projects)
