Forward Deployed Software Engineer, US Government*

Palantir’s Forward Deployed Software Engineers (FDSEs) on the US Government team tackle mission-critical data challenges directly with customers. You’ll translate complex problems into data-driven solutions, collaborate with client and Palantir teams, and influence architecture on high-stakes initiatives that even draw leadership’s attention, including the CTO, Shyam.

What youll do

• Work directly with customers to understand their problems and implement data-driven solutions.
• Design and implement technical solutions.
• Work in small teams with minimal supervision.
• Own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects.
• Discuss architecture with fellow engineers.
• Code custom web applications.
• Interact with customer executives.
• Establish strategy for the team.

What Palantir Technologies is looking for

• Currently holds an active Security Clearance (Secret or TS) or is able to obtain one; US resident.
• Experience with data structures, storage systems, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with front-end frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Affiliation with political or government organizations.
• Strong CS fundamentals; degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field preferred.
• Touchpoints with US government projects or related work.
• 2+ years of professional Software Engineering experience.
