Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Overstory is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to evolve our GCP infrastructure and DevOps practices, including incident management, SLOs and error budgets. You’ll champion observability to improve mean time to recovery and use DORA metrics to help Product & Engineering build amazing products, while helping other teams optimize GCP usage and cost.

• Design and evolve Overstory’s cloud infrastructure.
• Build tooling and automation that promote team autonomy.
• Advance our observability platform.
• Build visibility into infra costs.
• Champion reliability best practices.

What Overstory is looking for

• 3+ years of Site Reliability Engineering / production SRE experience.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for cluster and workload management.
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar).
• Proficiency in scripting/automation with Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience in incident management, post-incident reviews, and on-call rotation.
• Strong observability stack experience (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, logging/trace).
• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including cost optimization and governance.
• Ability to define and implement SLOs/SLIs and error budgets.
