This role is a hands-on founding People hire who will build Mercura’s hiring engine and People & Culture foundations from day one, partnering closely with the founders to shape the company’s talent, onboarding, and culture. It’s an opportunity to own full‑cycle recruiting across functions and set the practices that determine how Mercura grows and retains exceptional people.

What you'll do

• Build Mercura’s hiring engine from the ground up and shape how the company hires and grows.
• Own full‑cycle recruiting across all functions, from sourcing to signed offer.
• Design and execute active sourcing pipelines to attract top candidates.
• Develop and run structured interview processes and evaluate candidates for skill and culture fit.
• Manage candidate communication and ensure a smooth hiring experience.
• Build Mercura’s employer brand and position the company as an exciting place to work in Europe.
• Design and implement the onboarding experience so every new hire hits the ground running.
• Define Mercura’s culture and drive initiatives for employee engagement, feedback, and team rituals.

What Mercura is looking for

• 2–5 years of full‑cycle recruiting experience in high‑growth environments (VC, startup, or tech) across GTM, engineering, and operations.
• Track record of building or scaling recruiting processes and team cultures that work at different stages of growth.
• Resourceful, energetic, and relationship‑driven with a strong ability to identify and convince early hires.
• Willingness to work in‑person in Munich with a higher intensity than a typical 9–5 role.
• Fluent in English and German.
