Founding Account Executive
About this role
This is a hands-on, full-cycle sales role on a small, fast-moving team building Maintouch's go-to-market motion; you'll own sourcing, demos, negotiation, and closing to drive meaningful pipeline and shape how we sell to founders. The position reports directly to the founder and is critical for turning early momentum into repeatable revenue.
What you'll do
- Own the full sales cycle end-to-end: prospecting, outreach, discovery, demo, negotiation, and close.
- Build pipeline from scratch using cold outbound, warm inbound, and creative approaches.
- Run product demos that clearly show founders how Maintouch solves their top problem.
- Help build and document a repeatable, scalable sales machine from founder-led learnings.
- Collaborate with the founder and marketing to sharpen positioning, refine ICP, and improve messaging.
- Continuously gather customer feedback and share market insights with product and marketing.
- Close high-volume deals that generate millions in pipeline per month.
- Operate with autonomy as an early AE on a lean, in-person team in SoHo, NYC.
What Maintouch is looking for
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably with full-cycle, quota-carrying roles.
- Proven closer with a track record of hitting and exceeding quota.
- Experience selling into startups or SMBs and moving fast with time-constrained founders.
- Comfortable sourcing your own pipeline without reliance on a BDR or large marketing machine.
- Genuine curiosity about AI and its impact on marketing; able to understand and evangelize product value.
- History of thriving at high-growth startups and handling ambiguity and rapid change.
- US citizen or valid US work visa; able to start ASAP and work in-person (no remote, no students).
