Fullstack Engineer

Lumena is seeking a Fullstack Engineer to help lead product development and shape the core architecture of Lumena’s platform. You’ll own major product surfaces across frontend, backend, and integration layers, working directly with the founder to influence product direction and build the foundation for our first production deployments.

What youll do

• Design and build the core application builder that orchestrates workflows, agents, and front-end views.
• Develop and scale Lumena’s TypeScript-based backend and modern frontend stack (React + Tailwind).
• Build frontend interfaces for dynamic dashboards, forms, and human-AI workflows.
• Collaborate with the applied engineering team to integrate automation and intelligence across systems.
• Shape the integration layer connecting REST APIs, SQL sources, and third-party systems.
• Define best practices for product engineering, architecture, and developer experience as we scale.

What Lumena is looking for

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack engineering.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js; familiarity with a TypeScript-based backend and a React + Tailwind frontend.
• Experience with enterprise software, internal tools, or data-heavy applications.
• Experience building AI/LLM-powered applications.
• Experience driving full-stack products at startups or high-growth companies (20 - 1,000 employees).
• Experience in venture-backed startups (Seed to Series D).
• Founding Engineer experience.
• Experience working on builder products (e.g., Retool, Notion, Airtable, Coda, etc.) or highly configurable user interfaces.
• Familiarity with databases and modern APIs.
• Strong CS fundamentals and a solid product sensibility.
