About this role

Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Appian Architect with the ability to obtain a secret clearance to support KPS and our government customer. This is a remote opportunity.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Software Development Experience Designing Solutions Using Appian (4 Years)
  • Recent Development and Implementation of Application experience on the Appian BPM Suite (2 Years)
  • Experienced in developing business integration process/integration solutions while leveraging protocols available in Appian
  • Proficient in Java
  • Hands on experience on Appian platform with working knowledge of Appian architecture
  • Experience in configuring, debugging, and systems integration including configuring forms, reports, underlying logic, and interface components as a developer (2 Years)
  • Agile Development Methodologies (2 Years)
  • Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
  • Must be fully fluent in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring complete transparency for logging all activities in the Enterprise Platform, Azure DevOps Services (ADS) and shall be kept current within 2-business days.
  • Responsible for providing the full range of System/Software Development Lifecycle activities to include requirements, analysis, design, development, test, security, and deployment.
  • Responsible for coordinating all activities (analysis, design, development, testing and deployment) required to complete each PBI as defined in the Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done.
  • Ability to work with the Government Product Owner to decompose each PBI down to the level that is achievable within a sprint (i.e., generally requiring less than 10-15 business days to complete) and identify the Acceptance Criteria for each PBI and define the sprint Definition of Done.
  • Ability to identify all tasks required to, successfully, complete each PBI and document in ADS.
  • Responsible for showing traceability and dependencies between requirements (Epics, Features, PBIs and Tasks) and systems in ADS.
  • Ability to work closely with the Government to ensure that the Product Backlog, stored in ADS, is continually and regularly maintained in alignment with the Agile cadence so that the necessary Release and Sprint Backlog items (epics and PBIs) are defined with acceptance criteria and prioritized by the Government prior to the start of each release and sprint.
  • The contractor shall prioritize development in accordance with the Program Backlog.
  • Ability to work with the Government Product Owner and Government Scrum Master, define and deliver relevant metrics that are formulated and utilized for meeting project objectives.
  • Perform functions relating to agile software engineering/programming (create/maintain source code), design, automated/manual unit testing and Integrated System Testing (IST), and maintenance of assigned applications/modules.

  • Candidates must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain an Active Secret Level Clearance, per Government requirements
