Product Engineer (Frontend-Leaning)

Joyful Health is seeking a frontend-leaning Product Engineer to design and ship delightful, data-driven interfaces for healthcare financial operations. You’ll work closely with design, product, and customers to own end-to-end features that make complex financial data accessible and actionable, helping providers improve their financial operations and the product’s trajectory.

What youll do

• Design and build intuitive, responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript that simplify complex financial workflows.
• Own features end-to-end from concept to deployment, across the React frontend and FastAPI backend.
• Collaborate with designers, product, and customers to translate user needs into elegant, functional experiences.
• Build and refine dashboards, analytics visualizations, workflow tools, and AI-powered copilot interfaces.
• Drive improvements to the design system, component library, and frontend architecture.
• Work with backend engineers to design clean APIs and data models that enable great user experiences.
• Contribute to the team's product vision, technical roadmap, and engineering culture.

What Joyful Health is looking for

• 3+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
• Deep proficiency in React and TypeScript for building user interfaces.
• Experience building dashboards and analytics visualizations.
• Experience contributing to a design system and component library.
• Experience building backend services with FastAPI or similar Python frameworks.
• Experience designing clean RESTful APIs and data models.
• Experience owning features end-to-end (product, design, and engineering).
• Experience building or integrating AI-powered user interfaces or copilot experiences.
• Strong CS fundamentals.
• Industry experience in healthcare or financial operations is a plus.
