Senior Operations Lead

The Senior Operations Lead at Harper will own the operational engine—from architecture to daily execution. This role is hands-on and founder-facing, built to scale Harper’s operations as the customer base grows from thousands to tens of thousands monthly. You’ll design, run, and continuously improve the systems that drive revenue, compliance, and customer experience.

• Build the operational infrastructure — design systems, workflows, and processes for scalable brokerage operations.
• Run it yourself while you build it — perform hands-on work, understand the details, then systematize.
• Make real-time decisions — drive revenue, compliance, and customer experience decisions today.
• Hire and lead a high-performing team — build the operations team to scale with Harper.
• Own end-to-end operations — oversee the full operational stack with rigorous documentation and outcomes.

What Harper is looking for

• 7+ years of operational leadership experience in startups.
• Experience in insurance distribution.
• Experience with agency management systems, CRM platforms, and carrier portals.
• Proven ability to hire, coach, and lead an operations team while continuing to contribute hands-on work.
• Hands-on operator who builds and runs infrastructure, makes real-time decisions, and documents outcomes.
• Data-driven decision-making with rigorous documentation and process discipline.
• Proven track record owning end-to-end operations, including impact on revenue, regulatory/compliance, and customer experience.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for insurance distribution.
