About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced sonographer to join the Maternal Fetal Medicine team at Canberra Health Services.
In this position, you will be providing clinical services within the Ultrasound modality, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Early Pregnancy unit at Canberra Health Services. You will use your expertise to exercise independent professional judgement to perform novel, critical and complex ultrasound examinations for inpatients and outpatients, including procedures. You will also participate in the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols that support the continuum of care engaging cross-discipline referencing where relevant.
This role includes supporting high-risk pregnancies, allowing you to build meaningful patient connections while contributing to care at a significant stage in their lives, and gaining experience with complex and uncommon fetal cases with the support of an experienced multidisciplinary team.

The successful applicant must have appropriate qualifications, obstetric and gynaecological imaging experience and have the ability to work independently within a team environment. This position requires a high level of communication skills and sensitive interaction in a high-risk environment.
A merit pool may be created from this recruitment process and remain valid for 12 months. This pool may be used to fill both permanent, temporary and casual positions across CHS.
