Head of Sales

fonio is hiring a Head of Sales to own and scale the sales organisation from Vienna, focusing first on DACH and expanding internationally. This role is critical to systematizing sales processes, growing the team, and helping fonio hit an ambitious ARR target during a high-growth phase.

What you'll do

• Own fonio's sales organisation and drive revenue growth toward the 10M ARR target by June 2026.
• Hire and scale inbound and outbound SDRs and additional Account Executives.
• Manage and develop the existing AE team to improve conversion and productivity.
• Build repeatable playbooks and sales processes for the team.
• Lead pipeline management and deliver reliable forecasting.
• Collaborate closely with marketing to convert performance-marketing inbound leads.
• Expand sales operations into new countries while prioritizing DACH.
• Start as Head of Sales DACH with the potential to evolve into global Head of Sales.
• Operate on-site from fonio's Vienna office.

What fonio is looking for

• 2+ years of SaaS sales experience with hands-on quota-bearing experience.
• Proven experience leading a sales team in a high-growth environment.
• Demonstrable experience hiring SDRs and AEs and scaling GTM teams.
• Strong track record in pipeline management, forecasting, and creating playbooks.
• Native-level German (Deutsch als Muttersprache) and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in Vienna (relocation package available if necessary).
• Ownership mentality / all-in mindset and a collaborative approach to work.
